What is a Noindex Checker?

The Noindex Checker verifies whether a webpage is actually indexable by search engines by checking all three places a page can be blocked: the meta robots tag, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, and robots.txt disallow rules. A page can look perfectly indexable in one place while being silently blocked in another.

Common Causes of Accidental Noindexing

• Staging leftovers — A blanket noindex tag added during development that was never removed before launch.
• CMS/plugin defaults — Some SEO plugins or CMS templates apply noindex to certain page types by default.
• Server-level headers — A reverse proxy or CDN rule adding X-Robots-Tag: noindex without anyone noticing.
