What is an OpenGraph Checker?

The OpenGraph Checker extracts a webpage's OpenGraph meta tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:site_name, and more) and renders a preview of how the page would look when shared as a link on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, or other platforms that support the OpenGraph protocol.

Why OpenGraph Tags Matter

• Controls the share card — Without OpenGraph tags, social platforms fall back to guessing an image and description, often producing a poor-looking, generic preview.
• Image dimensions matter — og:image should generally be at least 1200x630px; smaller or oddly-cropped images can be resized poorly or rejected by some platforms.
