Sitemap checker
What is a Sitemap Checker?
The Sitemap Checker downloads an XML sitemap, follows sitemap index files, and lists every page URL it declares, so you can confirm search engines are being pointed at the right pages.
What to Look For
- Missing pages - important pages that are not listed may be discovered late or not at all.
- Stale or redirected URLs - sitemaps should only list final, indexable URLs.
- Size - a single sitemap is limited to 50,000 URLs; larger sites need a sitemap index.
